Sandeep Book Centre

You can find Sandeep Book Centre at 977 near the Mother Dairy in the 16th Block of 2nd Phase. We’re right on Anjaneya Temple Street in Jigani. It’s a quiet enough spot most of the time, except when the milk trucks are moving around the dairy early in the morning. Our shop is just a small room filled with whatever we think the locals might need. We’ve got school notebooks, some pens that actually write well, and a collection of books that’s grown over the years without much of a plan. The floor is a bit uneven in the back corner, so you have to watch your step if you're browsing the older novels. We don't really have a fancy computer system for our inventory. Most of the time, I just know where a book is because I remember putting it there last Tuesday. We have a small plastic chair near the entrance where the older men from the street sometimes sit to chat for a bit while they're out on their walks. It’s not the kind of place you’d find in a big mall, and we prefer it that way. We stay open pretty late because someone always realizes they ran out of paper right before dinner. It’s just me and a cousin handling things most days, so it stays pretty informal around here. We don't do much in the way of decoration, just books and more books.
