Roopashri Book Center

Roopashri Book Center is in the Golden Plaza Building. The address says Dighi Road in Bhosari near Sandvik Housing Society, but we are also linked with the Avenue Road area. It’s a bit of a journey to find us if you don't know the local streets well. We have been selling books for many years now. Our shop is filled from the floor all the way to the ceiling. We carry textbooks, notebooks, and all the things students need for their exams. It’s always a bit hectic around here during the day. We have stacks of paper everywhere you look. Sometimes we have to move three heavy boxes just to get to one specific book at the bottom. It is a bit of a physical workout for us. We don't have a lot of staff, so we do everything ourselves. We unload the trucks, sort the books, and help the customers one by one. It’s hard work and our hands are always a bit dirty from the ink and the cardboard. We don't have a fancy store layout with wide aisles. It is just about being useful. People come to us because they know we usually have what they are looking for, even if it takes us a minute to find it in the back. We stay open pretty late to make sure everyone gets their supplies before school starts. It’s a simple life. We just want to make sure the kids have their books.
