Readership Book Library

We are located at 75/2 on the 1st Floor, right on the busy Bannerghatta Road in the Bellandur area. If you are looking for us, the easiest landmark is the Little Elly School, which is very close by in N S Palya. Being a library, Readership Book Library is a bit different from a regular shop. We have rows and rows of books for people to borrow, and I spend most of my time checking them in and out on my ledger. The traffic on Bannerghatta Road is always loud, but once you get up to the first floor, it’s not too bad. The sound of the kids playing at the school nearby is actually quite nice during the day. We have a lot of families from the Bellandur apartments who come in on the weekends to pick out stuff for their children. The room has a lot of natural light, which is good for reading the titles on the spines. I’ve got some old chairs where people can sit for a bit, though most just grab what they want and head back out into the traffic. It’s a bit of a climb to get up here, and the stairs are a little narrow, but it’s worth it for the peace. I try to keep the books in good shape, but some of the older ones have definitely seen better days. It’s a simple neighborhood library for people who still like the feel of a real book.
