Rathnam Plaza

We are located on the 1st floor of Murali Plaza, which is number 274 on Kalbadevi Road in the Old Thargupet area. Finding us involves going up the stairs, which can be a bit steep if you aren't used to them. This whole building is full of different businesses, so there is always a lot of shouting and moving of goods in the hallways. Our spot is tucked away a bit. We've been here long enough that the floorboards in our section have a few scratches from moving furniture around. Old Thargupet is a very traditional part of the city, and Kalbadevi Road is always packed with carts and scooters. We mostly handle wholesale books and paper goods from this office. It’s not really a showroom. It’s more of a working space where we keep our ledgers and take orders. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't found the time to do it yet. We spend most of the day on the phone or writing out receipts by hand. The tea man comes around twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a break. It’s a busy, dusty place, but it works for us. We just keep our heads down and handle the business that comes through the door. It gets quite loud when the nearby shops are unloading their heavy crates onto the street during the afternoon rush.
