Prism Book Shop

We are located at 16 Hosur Main Road in the Jayanagar area. Being on a main road means it is always noisy and there is a lot of dust from the vehicles passing by. We have been here for a while, and the shop has become a bit of a familiar sight for people walking to the bus stop. Our space at Prism Book Shop is filled with rows of shelves that are maybe a little too close together, but it allows us to keep more stock. We spend a lot of time rearranging things to make it all fit. The light inside isn't the brightest, but it is enough to see the titles clearly. Most of our customers are locals who live nearby or students who need something for their classes. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing plan. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait to see who comes in. Sometimes it is quiet, and we just sit and read or sort through new arrivals. Other times, it gets so busy that we can barely keep up with the questions. We keep a pot of water in the corner for anyone who needs a drink. It is a very normal, basic shop. We focus on the books and the people, and that seems to be enough for us and the community here.
