Prashanth Book Stall

Our little stall is at number 4 in Block M of the Vastrapur area in Ahmedabad, specifically around the J P Nagar part. It’s a modest place. We have been running this book stall for a while, and it has become a bit of a habit. The neighborhood is mostly quiet, but we get our share of visitors. We don’t have any big glass windows or fancy lights. It’s mostly just metal shutters and rows of books inside. We stock mostly whatever the local students need and some general reading material too. In the summer, it gets pretty hot inside the stall, so we keep a small fan going all day. The Vastrapur area has its own charm, and being in Block M puts us right in the middle of things. We usually spend the morning hours sorting through the newspapers and magazines that come in. There isn't much space to move around once a few people are inside. We know most of the neighbors by name. They stop by to complain about the weather or talk about the local news. We just listen and keep the books organized. It's a simple life running a stall like this. We don't try to be anything we aren't. Just a place to pick up something to read and move on. Sometimes the kids come by after school to look at the comics. We like seeing the familiar faces every day.
