Pragathi Book Stall

Pragathi Book Stall is located at number 10 on HMT Main Road. If you know Mathikere, you know this road gets quite busy with all the traffic and people moving about. We have a small storefront that is usually packed to the ceiling with notebooks and textbooks. It’s a bit cramped inside, to be honest. You have to watch your step so you don’t knock over a stack of magazines. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the students who walk by every day. Some of them come in just to ask for a pen or a specific guide. The dust from the road gets in sometimes, so we are always wiping down the counters. It’s a simple shop. No air conditioning or fancy lights, just some tube lights that flicker once in a while. We open early because that’s when people are heading to school or work. In the afternoons, when it gets hot, it’s a bit slower. We spend that time restacking the shelves or checking what we need to order next. Mathikere is a loud place, but we like being in the middle of it. If you need a book, you just ask and we find it in the pile somewhere. It's not a library, just a local stall doing its thing. We don't have much room for more than two customers at a time.
