Prabhu Book Stores

This shop is located in the 4th Block of Nandini Layout, specifically on 9th Cross. We are right near the Sheni Temple, which is the easiest way to tell people how to get here. The address is 52/39. It’s a corner of the neighborhood that stays pretty busy with people going to the temple or the local shops. We have been selling books and stationery for a long time now. The shelves are mostly filled with things for the local schools. It gets a bit crowded during the start of the academic year, with parents and kids all trying to get their lists filled at once. The rest of the year, it’s more about pens, ink, and the occasional novel. We don't have any air conditioning, so we keep the doors wide open and a fan running in the corner. Sometimes the stray dogs from the street come and sit in the shade of our entrance. We don't mind as long as they don't get in the way of the customers. The lighting inside is a bit yellow, and the floor is that old-fashioned stone that’s easy to sweep. We don't have a big corporate office or anything. It’s just this one shop. We handle everything ourselves, from ordering the stock to sweeping the front step every morning before we open up. Prabhu Book Stores is just a part of the local street life here, nothing more and nothing less.
