Om Books Foundation

We've been here at Om Books Foundation for a good while now. You'll find us located right on Kamanahalli Main Road. If you know where the Food World is, we are just above that at number 4/143 on Salpas Road. It’s a pretty busy spot during the day but we like the energy of the area. People come in looking for all sorts of things and we do our best to help them find what they need among the stacks. Sometimes the stairs are a bit of a climb, especially when we are carrying heavy boxes, but once you get up here, it’s actually quiet enough to hear yourself think. We spend most of our time organizing the shelves and helping whoever happens to walk through the door. It is just us and the books. The traffic on Kamanahalli Main Road can get a bit much in the late evenings, so we see more people during the morning hours. We keep things simple here. If you are around the Salpas Road area, just stop by. It’s a local place and nothing formal at all. We don’t really do much advertising. Most people find us just by walking past the Food World and seeing our sign. We’ve seen this neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. It’s nice being part of the community here. We just handle the day-to-day work ourselves and it keeps us busy. Sometimes we run out of shelf space for the new arrivals, so we shuffle things around. That is just how it goes.
