Nisar Book Depot

If you’ve ever been to Chickpet, you know how the lanes are. We are in the New Complex at SKR Market, which is always a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it. The shop is called Nisar Book Depot, and we mainly deal with the kind of books and registers that shops and offices around here use. It’s not a quiet place. There is always someone dragging a cart or shouting about a delivery right outside the door. Inside, it’s a bit more organized, but not by much. We have stacks of paper and ledgers everywhere. G 67 is the shop number, but most people just find us by looking for the old sign near the stairs. We start our day pretty early because that’s when the wholesale stuff moves the most. Sometimes it gets a bit overwhelming with the heat and the number of people in the market, but that’s just how Chickpet is. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. We just know our inventory. If someone asks for a specific type of binding, we usually have it buried somewhere in the back. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting boxes and counting stock. We’ve seen the market change a lot over the years, but the way we run the shop is pretty much the same as it was on the first day we opened up for business.
