Naveen Book Centre

Naveen Book Centre is tucked away on Javare Gowda Road in Hanumantha Nagar, right over in New Thippasandra. If you know where Vinayaka Medicals is, we are just directly opposite that on 10th Cross. It is a busy little corner of the neighborhood. We have been at number 1809 for a good bit now. The shop isn't huge, so we have to stack things pretty high on the shelves. Sometimes you have to duck a bit to see everything. It gets a little crowded when more than three people are inside at once, but that is part of the charm of a local place. We start our day early, usually before the traffic on the main road gets too loud. You might see us out front sweeping the step or just waiting for the first person to walk in. We know most of the people who walk past every day. It is a quiet kind of work, mostly just handling the books and keeping track of what goes out. The street outside can get a bit dusty, especially in the summer. We try to keep the glass clean but it is a losing battle sometimes. If you are coming down 10th Cross, look for the sign near the medical store. We are usually here until late evening. It is just a straightforward shop for people who live around Hanumantha Nagar. Nothing too fancy, just plenty of things to read on the shelves and a bit of conversation if you want it. It's our little spot.
