Lakshmi Books House

Lakshmi Books House is located at 458, in the 1st Block, 3rd Stage of Basaveshwara Nagar. We are right on the 24th A Cross, which is very close to the Indian High School. Being near a school means we see a lot of kids and parents coming through the door every day. It keeps the energy up around here and we like that. Our shop is tucked into the residential part of the block. It’s a nice, leafy area compared to the big main roads nearby. We’ve been at this address for quite a while now. The shop itself is packed with shelves from front to back. We carry a bit of everything for the local readers. Sometimes it feels like we are running out of shelf space, so we use the floor for the overflow boxes. The 24th A Cross is usually quiet except during the school hours when it gets really busy for a short bit. We enjoy the rhythm of the neighborhood. We don't have any corporate branding or anything fancy like that. It’s just a local book house for the people here. We handle all the sales and the cleaning ourselves. It’s a small operation with no fuss. Most people who come in live just a few streets away in Basaveshwara Nagar. We like being a part of this community. It’s a steady job and we appreciate the people who stop by to browse or just to say hello to us. We’ve been here for years.
