Khushbu Book Store

Khushbu Book Store is located at 58/9 on the 100 Feet Ring Road. We are pretty close to the Hoskerhalli 2nd Main area, specifically on the 3rd Cross in Basavanagar. Being near the Ring Road means there is always a lot of noise and movement outside. It is a big, wide road, but once you step into the 3rd Cross, things settle down a little bit. Our shop is a modest place. We have been here for a good number of years. The shelves are packed with all sorts of things, and sometimes it takes us a minute to find exactly what a customer is looking for. We rely on our memory more than anything else. There is a specific smell to the place—a mix of old paper and the tea we make in the afternoons. We don't have a lot of help, so it is usually just us behind the counter. We spend a lot of time unpacking boxes and trying to find a place for everything. The floor is made of old tile that's a bit cracked in the corners. It doesn't bother us much. People from the neighborhood know us by name, which is nice. If you are driving along the Ring Road, you might miss the turn if you aren't looking for it. We are just a local spot for people in Basavanagar to find something to read without going too far. When it rains, the water splashes up against the front door.
