Hema Book World

Hema Book World is over on Ratna Vilas Road, specifically near the RV Road Cross. We are very close to the Subramanya Co-operative Bank, which is the easiest way to find us. If you see the bank, you are basically there. The shop is at number 41610. It is an interesting spot because the road gets quite a lot of foot traffic from people going to the bank or the nearby shops. Inside, it is a bit of a squeeze. We have books stacked on the floor in some places because we ran out of shelf space years ago. The lighting isn't the best in the very back, so we usually tell people to watch their step. We have a lot of regular customers who come by just to see what’s new. Usually, we are just sitting behind the counter or trying to fix a pile that looks like it might fall over. The building is older, and you can tell by the way the doors fit. It gets a little warm in the summer, but we have a couple of small fans that keep the air moving. We aren't trying to be anything fancy. We just keep the shop open and help the people who walk through the door. It’s a lot of work keeping track of everything, but we have our routine and it works for us. We just take it one day at a time here.
