Goutham Book Store

Goutham Book Store is a small place located at 11 SG Road in Thindlu, which is part of the Vidyaranyapura area. It’s a relatively quiet part of the city compared to the center, which we actually quite like. Our shop is right on the road, so it’s easy for the local school kids to stop by on their way home. We mostly stock the things people need every day—notebooks, pens, some drawing materials, and the usual school textbooks. It isn't a massive warehouse of books; it’s more of a neighborhood shop where we know most of our customers by their first names. We’ve been at this address for some years now. The shop is small enough that we can keep an eye on everything from the front desk. We don't use any complicated systems to track things. We just look at the shelves and see what’s missing. Sometimes we run out of something popular and have to tell people to come back in two days when the new stock arrives. It’s an honest way to work. We like the morning sun that comes through the door and the way the neighborhood wakes up around 9 am. There is no big philosophy behind what we do. We just open up, sell some books, and help the local people find what they need for school or work. It is simple and it works for us.
