Forum Book House

Forum Book House is at 170/1 Rastreeya Vidyalaya Road, which most people just call RV Road, in Vishveshwaraiah Puram. This part of the city is known for its old charm and busy food streets. Our book house is a bit of a maze with tall shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. We have a lot of academic books and old editions that you might not find in the newer shops. It is a bit dusty because of all the paper, and we are constantly trying to find more space for new arrivals. We don't use a computer for our inventory, so if you ask for a book, we usually just have to remember which corner it was tucked into. The shop has a very old-school feel to it, with heavy wooden tables and a few chairs for people to sit if they want to check a page or two. VV Puram is always lively, so there is a constant stream of people passing by our door on RV Road. We open up early and stay open until the street lights come on. It’s a lot of work carrying heavy boxes and organizing the stacks, but it is what we do. We aren't trying to be a big chain store, just a local spot for people who still like the feel of a real book in their hands.
