Durga Book Agencies

Our shop is at number 26, right across the street from the Vinay Sagar Hotel in Shivaji Nagar. If you know where the hotel is, you won't have any trouble finding us. It is a lively area with people always rushing around and the sound of horns from the street. We have a modest setup here at Durga Book Agencies. The shelves go all the way up to the ceiling, so we often have to use a shaky old ladder to reach the stuff at the top. It is a bit of a workout some days. We don't have a big staff, so whoever is behind the counter is usually the one who knows where every single book is hidden. We spend our time answering the phone and helping people who wander in off the street looking for something specific. The shop has a bit of a lived-in feel to it, with some worn patches on the floor and stacks of invoices sitting on the desk. We like it this way because it feels real. We aren't trying to be some big corporate outlet. We are just a local agency doing our part in the neighborhood. Usually, we are open until late, and the streetlights outside make the shop look quite different in the evening. It is a simple business, and we just take things one day at a time here.
