Chandrakal Books

Chandrakal Books is located at 38 in Sanjeevappa Layout, which is part of the Kumbarpet area. We are situated right near the Vysya Bank. It’s a busy corner of the world. Kumbarpet is known for being crowded and narrow, and our street is no different. We’ve been here for years, and the shop has seen a lot of changes in the neighborhood. Inside, it’s mostly just rows and rows of books. We don't have a lot of extra space for sitting or walking around, so you have to be careful not to knock anything over. The light inside isn't the best, but we've gotten used to it. Most people find us because they’re already going to the bank or living nearby. It’s a very local operation. We don’t have a website or anything like that. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait to see who stops by. Sometimes it’s busy, and sometimes we just sit and read ourselves. It’s a practical business. We focus on having the books that people actually need for their studies or work. The building itself is nothing special, just a regular storefront on a busy street. We like being part of the Kumbarpet community. It’s home for us, and we plan on staying at number 38 for a long time yet. It keeps us busy and out of trouble.
