Chaitanyas Book Bank

Chaitanyas Book Bank is over in Jayanagar 4th T Block, specifically at 627 on 22nd Main. We started this place because we think books shouldn't just sit on a shelf gathering dust forever. We deal in all kinds of books, especially used ones for students who don't want to pay the full price for brand new copies. It’s a bit of a simple system we have going here. People bring in their old books they don't need, and we find new homes for them with other readers. The shop is usually pretty full with stacks of paper everywhere. Sometimes it looks a bit messy to an outsider, but we know where everything is located. Jayanagar is a great place to be because of all the schools and colleges in the vicinity. We get a lot of young people coming in during the exam season. It’s a busy time for us, trying to find specific textbooks for everyone. We don't have a fancy computer system to track every single item. We just use our memory and some handwritten notes in a ledger. It works well enough for us. We aren't trying to be a big bookstore like the ones you see in the malls. We're just a local spot where you can get books for a much better price. The shop is small and the lighting isn't the best, but the books are what matter. If you have some books to pass on, come see us.
