Central Book World

Being in the 3rd Block of Jayanagar means things are always moving, and Central Book World is right in the middle of it inside the Abhinandan A/c Market. We are tucked into the Devaram Complex at 199F, and honestly, the air conditioning in the market is the main reason people like to linger here when it’s hot outside. The shop isn't huge, so the books are stacked pretty high on every wall. Sometimes I have to use a small stool to reach the ones on the top shelf for customers. We have all kinds of things from school books to those old novels people like to read on the bus. Jayanagar is a busy area, so we get a lot of students and office workers coming in during their lunch breaks. It can get a bit cramped when more than four people are inside at once, but we make it work. I’ve been here for years, and I know where most things are even if the stacks look a bit messy to someone else. The light inside the complex is a bit dim, but we have enough lamps so you can read the titles. It’s a quiet place compared to the main road outside. People usually find us after walking past the other stalls in the market. I spend most of my day just organizing the new arrivals or talking to the regulars who have been coming here since they were kids.
