Bookstop

Bookstop is right at 485 Aundh Road, directly across from the Sri Krishna Temple in Koramangala. It’s a good landmark because everyone knows the temple. We’ve been here for several years, and we’ve seen Koramangala change into a very busy place. Our shop is a bit of a sanctuary from the traffic outside. It’s not a huge space, but we crammed as many books as we could into the shelves. Sometimes you have to turn sideways to get through the aisles. We don't have a corporate office or a big team. It’s just us. We spend our mornings dusting and our afternoons helping people find what they need. Sometimes the music from the temple carries over, which is quite nice when things are quiet. The floor is a bit worn out from all the people walking in and out, but we think it adds a bit of character. We don't go for anything fancy. The lights can be a bit flickery in the back corner, but we usually fix it eventually. People come here because they know we have a bit of everything. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in town, just a reliable one where you can find a good book. It’s a simple business, run by people who actually like being around books all day. We keep it casual and don't really have a dress code or anything. It's just us doing what we know how to do.
