We are based in Hanumanth Nagar, specifically on T P Kailasam Road in the Gavipuram Extension area. The shop is at number 1 on the 6th Main. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say the address, but once you get here, it’s a simple place. We’ve got a lot of books, maybe more than the space really allows for, so they are piled up quite high. People usually find us because they live nearby or they’re walking over from the park. Hanumanth Nagar is a quiet place mostly, and our shop fits in with that. We don't have loud music or big neon signs. It’s just the name on the board above the door. Inside, it smells like old paper and ink, which most people seem to like. We spend our days sorting through the new arrivals and helping people find specific titles. Sometimes we don't have what someone wants, and we just tell them honestly. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in Bangalore. We just want to keep the shelves stocked with things people actually read. The street outside has some nice trees, and it’s usually easy to find a spot to park a scooter. We’ve been at this for a while, and it’s a routine we are used to now. Just a regular book shop for the local folks. We go by Booksmelacom, even if the name sounds a bit like a website.
