Book Ware

Our shop, Book Ware, is located on the first floor at 85 JC Nagar, right near the police station. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, and sometimes the light in the stairwell flickers, but once you get up here, it’s mostly just rows and rows of books. We’ve got a lot of different things, from old textbooks that have seen better days to some newer stuff people ask for. It’s not a very big space, so we have to stack things pretty high. Sometimes I worry about the stacks tipping over, but so far, they’ve stayed put. The police station being so close means it’s a fairly safe spot, though parking on the street can be a real headache most days. We don't have a fancy display or anything like that. It’s just us here, trying to keep track of where everything is. Half the time, I have to remember which pile has what. It’s a bit dusty, and the window doesn't open all the way because the frame is warped, but it lets in enough air. We see a lot of regular faces from the JC Nagar neighborhood. Some people come in just to browse while they wait for someone. We don't mind. It’s nice to have some company in the shop. We just keep doing our thing, day in and day out, making sure the books find a home. It's just a simple shop run by regular people.
