Book Paradise

The shop is over at 75 4th Block, right inside the NIIT Towers in Jayanagar. It's a busy part of Dattwadi, so there is always something going on right outside the windows. We moved in here a while back and filled up the space with as many books as we could possibly fit. It’s not a very big room, but we make it work by using every single inch of the walls. Sometimes it feels a bit tucked away since we are inside the tower, but once you find us, it’s pretty straightforward. We spend our days mostly organizing the shelves and talking to the regulars who live around Jayanagar. The light in here isn’t the brightest, but it’s enough to read the titles on the spines. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. People just find out about us from their neighbors or while they are headed to other offices in the building. It’s a simple setup with a few chairs if someone needs to sit down for a second. We try to keep things orderly, but with so many pages and covers, it’s a constant battle against the clutter. The 4th Block is a nice area to be in, even if parking can be a real headache most days. We just open up in the morning and stay until the sun goes down. It’s just us here, keeping the books in line and waiting for the next visitor.
