Book Galery

Our place is called Book Galery and we are located in Jayanagar 6th Block. Specifically, we are at 1811 on the 41st Cross, right near the 22nd Main. It’s a good neighborhood with lots of trees and people walking around. The shop is a bit of a local haunt for those who love reading. We have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, and sometimes you need a ladder to get to the top ones. It isn't a modern, shiny store. It’s more of a traditional shop where things are a little bit cluttered. We think it adds a bit of charm to the place. Jayanagar is a big area but the 6th Block feels like its own little village sometimes. We see the same faces every week, which is nice. We spend the day cataloging new arrivals and helping people find things they didn't know they wanted. Sometimes the 41st Cross gets a bit busy with parked cars, but it’s usually quite peaceful inside. We don’t do any fancy marketing stuff. We just open the doors in the morning and see who comes in. There’s a lot of manual work involved, like lifting heavy crates and dusting off the older volumes. It’s satisfying though, seeing someone leave with a book they’ve been searching for. We’ve been here for a while and we’re quite happy with how things are going. It is just a regular bookstore for regular people.
