Book Fetch

Book Fetch is over in Bhuvaneshwari Nagar, right at number 140 on 7th Cross. It is part of the Doddakallasandra area in Basavanagar. It is a bit of a residential spot, so it stays fairly quiet compared to the main roads. We like the pace here. The shop sits on a corner that gets a nice breeze in the evenings. We have been working out of this location for a while now. Most of our day is spent just checking the lists and making sure we have what people are asking for. The interior is a bit cramped because we keep trying to fit more shelves in where they don't really belong. You have to be careful not to knock anything over when you turn around. We aren't big on fancy displays. We just put the books where they fit. Sometimes the neighbors stop in just to say hello or to ask about something they saw in the window. We have a small desk near the front where we do all the paperwork by hand. It feels more natural that way. The 7th Cross is easy to find if you are familiar with Basavanagar. We usually have the door propped open if the weather is nice. It is just a small, local operation run by people who live nearby. We don't make a big fuss about things. We just stay open and wait for the next person to come through the door. The floorboards have a bit of a creak to them in certain spots.
