Bhats Book Bureau

Bhats Book Bureau is located at number 31 on Hosur Road, which is right in the Jayanagar area. We are very close to Balaji Medicals, so if you find the pharmacy, you’ve basically found us. I started this place because I’ve always been around books. It’s a small shop but we try to cram in as many titles as possible. We have textbooks for students, some novels, and a lot of general interest stuff. Hosur Road is always noisy with traffic, but once you step inside, it’s a bit more relaxed. We have piles of books on the floor sometimes when a new shipment comes in and I haven't had time to shelve them yet. My hands are usually a bit ink-stained from handling the new prints. We don't really do fancy displays or anything like that. People come here because they know we might have that one random book they are looking for. I’ve lived in Jayanagar for years, so I know a lot of the folks who walk past our door every day. Sometimes they just pop in for a chat about the news or to see what’s new on the shelf. We keep the shop open six days a week. It’s not a big corporate chain, just a local spot for people who still like the feel of a real book in their hands. We do our best to help people find what they need without making a big fuss about it. It’s just a regular bookshop for regular people.
