Army Books

Army Books is located over at 17 10th Cross. We are in the S C Garden area, which is just off West Off Chord Road in the 2nd Stage. It’s a bit tucked away in the smaller lanes here, which we actually prefer. The neighborhood is mostly quiet, and that is nice when you are dealing with books all day. We’ve got stacks of books almost everywhere you look, honestly. Sometimes it feels like there just isn't enough room for every single thing, but we manage to make it work. You have to navigate the 10th Cross carefully if you are driving a car because it can get quite tight with all the parked vehicles on the side. We spend our mornings opening up the place and dusting off the shelves. There is always something that needs doing. Being near Chord Road is handy for getting around the city, but we like the calmness of S C Garden much more. Most of our visitors are locals from around the 2nd Stage. They know where we are. We don't have a fancy storefront. It’s just a regular building where we keep the stock. Sometimes the light inside isn't the best, but it works. We’ve been here a good while. People stop in to chat or look for something specific they need for school. We keep things moving as best as we can. It’s a simple operation. We don’t bother with much else besides the books and the customers who find their way to our door on 10th Cross.
