Anil Pustak Kendra

Anil Pustak Kendra is located inside the Golden Plaza Building. Our shop is 61/F4. We are quite close to Rice Memorial Church on Avenue Road. This building is always full of people moving in and out. It is a bit of a walk through the plaza to find us, but once you are here, it is quiet. We have bookshelves lining every single wall. We deal mostly in books for students and general reading. The space is a bit tight, especially when we get new stock in. Boxes sit in the middle of the floor until we can find a place for them. Avenue Road outside is a sea of traffic and people, so being inside the Golden Plaza is a bit of a relief. We have a small fan that sits on the desk and moves the air around. The lighting isn't the best, so we use desk lamps in the corners. We've been in this building for a long time. We know the other shop owners and we often share tea in the afternoons. It is a small community inside the plaza. We don't have any big signs or loud music. We just keep our heads down and work. People find us because they have been told where we are. It is a simple, hardworking shop in a very busy part of the city.
