We have been here for a while, and the 722133 area is really where our roots are. Being a Krishi Kendra, we spend most of our time thinking about farming and how to help the local soil produce better. The math itself has a certain feel to it, and we try to respect that while we go about our daily business. We get farmers coming in from all over the district, sometimes walking long distances just to ask a question about their seeds or their water. We don't have a big staff, so whoever is around is the one who helps out. It is very informal. We sit on benches and talk about the rain or the price of fertilizer. Bankura can be very dry, so that is always a big topic of conversation for us. We keep our ledgers by hand mostly, and there is a lot of dust because of the local roads. It is a practical life, working with the seasons and trying to make sure everyone has what they need for the next planting. We don't do much advertising because everyone around here already knows where we are and what we do.
