Balarampur Trinayani Mahila Producer Company Limited is out in the Sirkabad village. We are located at Nityananda Mahato’s house. Balarampur is a beautiful place, but the life here is quite tough. We are a group of women from the local area around Sagma. Our company focuses on the things we produce here, whether it’s from the small plots of land or things we make by hand. The hills of Purulia are visible from where we work every day. We don't have a big corporate office with signs and lights. It’s just a room where we keep our records and meet to talk about our progress and problems. Nityananda helps us with the space to store things. The 723153 area is quite remote, so we have to be self-reliant about most things. We spend our days managing the collection of produce and seeing how we can get it to the buyers in the bigger towns. Sometimes the transport is a problem, and we have to wait for days for a truck. We are just a group of friends and neighbors working together. It’s not about being a big brand. We just want to make sure that the women in our village have a way to earn some money and keep their homes running. It’s a very basic and honest way of doing business in a place where people look out for each other.
