We are the Pakurdiha Farmers Producer Company Limited. Our home base is in the village of Saralia, which is in the Taldangra area of Bankura. Goutam Ghosh’s place is where we usually meet up to take care of the company business. It is a small village setup, nothing like those big offices you see in Kolkata. We are all farmers first and foremost. We know the heat of the Bankura sun and the way the ground feels during the planting season. We started this company because we wanted to have a better way to manage our farm produce as a group. It is a lot of hard work, but doing it together makes it a little easier to handle. We don't spend money on marketing or trying to sound like something we aren't. We are just local folks growing what we can on our land. Most of our days are spent in the fields and then we head over to Saralia to sort out the business side of things. It’s a very straightforward operation. If you come by, you’ll likely find us talking about the rain or the price of supplies. We keep things honest and simple because that is the only way we know how to work. It’s just a group of neighbors trying to make a go of it together in Taldangra. We don't have anything fancy to show, just the work we do.
