If you are heading towards Po Tiluri, you will pass through our part of the world. It’s a rural spot where the ground is a bit dry and the trees are hardy. Kalipada Hasda has been living here for a long time, and his house is where we manage the business. Bankura Krishi Kalyan Private Limited was started because we wanted something local for the farmers around here. We don't have any big signs or fancy lights. It’s just a house in Udaypur village where we keep our books. The pace of life in Saltora is slow, and we don't try to rush things. We spend a lot of time talking to the neighbors about the weather and how the soil is doing. Tiluri is the closest post office, so we head over there when we need to send or receive mail. It’s a bit of a walk, but it gives us a chance to see what’s happening in the rest of the area. We are just ordinary people working in agriculture, trying to make a living. There’s no corporate talk here, just plain English and a bit of hard work every day. It’s a humble setup, but it suits the landscape around us. The red soil here defines everything we do.
