Maa Duarshini Bandwan Farmers Producer Company Limited started because we wanted to do something for the farmers in the Bandwan area. Our address is at Rabilochan Saren’s place in Vill-Kukrudabar. This is a very rural part of the country near Kuilapal. Life here isn't always easy, and the land can be stubborn. We chose the name Maa Duarshini because she is our local deity and we feel she watches over our work. We aren't a big company with a lot of money. We are just a group of people who know each other and wanted to organize things a bit better. Rabilochan helps keep everything in order at his house. We spend our days worrying about the crops and trying to find better ways to bring them to the market. There are no fancy brochures or websites here. We just talk to the people we know in the village and the surrounding areas. Sometimes we have meetings under the trees when it’s too hot inside. It’s a very local thing. We don't have any big promises to make, we are just trying to survive and keep our families fed.
