Our office is right there by the Nikunjapur School More in the Onda area. Most people around here know Panducharan Pal, and that is where we keep our main records for Bankura Onda Wb Farmer Producer Company Limited. It’s a busy little spot, especially when the kids are coming out of school. We are a group of farmers from around Bankura who decided it was better to be a company so we could buy things like fertilizer and seeds together. It gets very hot here in the summer, and the soil can get dry, so we spend a lot of time talking about irrigation and how to keep the crops alive. We don't use big words or have fancy meetings. Usually, we just stand around the school more or sit in the shade and figure out who is doing what for the week. It’s basic work. We deal with whatever the ground gives us. Sometimes the harvest is great, and sometimes it’s just okay. That is how it goes in Onda. We just try to make sure everyone in the group gets a fair chance with their crops. Panducharan Pal handles a lot of the coordination from his place in the village. We aren't trying to sell you something with a shiny brochure. We are just local people trying to make the farm life a bit more stable for ourselves and our families in the district.
