Turmeric Restaurant

Turmeric Restaurant is part of the Trivandrum Hotel on YMCA Road. We are right at Statue Junction in Thiruvananthapuram. This is a very old and well-known part of the city. There are a lot of government offices nearby, so the whole area is always full of people in a hurry. Being at Statue Junction means we are right in the middle of everything. The restaurant has been here as part of the hotel for quite some time. It has that old-school Kerala feel to it. We don't use a lot of modern decor. It’s just wooden tables and chairs and a high ceiling. The staff here has been with us for years. We know how the local crowd likes their meals. We get a lot of people who come in after finishing work at the secretariat or other offices. YMCA Road is always busy with pedestrians. Sometimes we get tourists who are just exploring the city center. It’s a simple setup. We don't try to be a fancy five-star place. We just serve the food we have and keep the place clean. The kitchen starts early in the morning and goes until late at night. It’s a lot of hard work, but we are used to it. The junction outside is always noisy with buses, but inside it’s a bit more relaxed. It’s just a staple part of the neighborhood where people have been coming for decades.
