Aadil Bakery

The bakery is in M S Plaza, right at the S M Lock Junction in Poonthura. If you are looking for the Puthenpally area, we are basically right there. Every morning starts very early, usually while it is still dark outside. That is when we start the ovens. The whole street smells like baking bread by the time the sun comes up. It is a small shop. We have the glass cases filled with whatever we made that morning. There is not much space for sitting, so most people just stand at the counter or take their bags and go. Poonthura is a lively place, especially with the junction right outside our door. There is always a lot of shouting and horns honking. We have a few staff members who have been with us for years. They know exactly how much sugar or salt goes into everything without even looking at a recipe anymore. We do not use any fancy machines, just the old ones that still work fine if you treat them right. Sometimes we run out of things by the afternoon, and we just have to tell people to come back tomorrow. That is just how it goes when you make things fresh. We do not have a big corporate office or anything, just this one shop in Thiruvananthapuram where we spend all our time. It is hard work, but it is what we do every day.
