We are located inside the Hotel White Dammar building in Pappanamkode. If you are traveling through Thiruvananthapuram, you might have passed by our spot on the main road. The pin code is 695018. Since we are part of the hotel setup, we see a lot of travelers who are staying upstairs, but we also get plenty of locals from the Pappanamkode area who just want a regular meal. It is a straightforward place with no big frills. We start early in the morning to get things ready for the breakfast crowd. The kitchen stays pretty busy until late in the evening. The street outside can get a bit noisy with all the buses and cars going past the hotel, but inside it is mostly just the sound of plates and people talking. We have been here for a bit and the staff knows most of the regular faces who stop in every day. We don't spend money on big posters or radio ads. We just focus on the work in front of us. The tables are standard wooden ones and we try to keep the water jugs filled up. It is an honest living. People come in, they eat, and they go about their day. Being in Thiruvananthapuram means the weather is usually warm, so we keep the fans going all day long to stay comfortable while we work the lunch shift.
