Ambalapatt Restaurant

You can find us right in the heart of Pattom. Our restaurant is located near Pattom Palace, directly opposite the big LIC building. If you are in Thiruvananthapuram, you probably know the area well as it is always bustling with office workers and commuters. We open our doors early every day to get ready for the breakfast crowd. It’s a simple setup, nothing too grand or complicated. We have the usual tables and chairs, and we try to keep the place tidy for everyone who stops by. A lot of our regulars work in the nearby government buildings and come to us for their lunch or a quick tea in the afternoon. When it gets to be around one o'clock, the place fills up fast and it can get quite noisy with everyone talking and the sound of plates. We don't mind the noise; it means people are happy to be here. Our menu doesn't change much, we just stick to the dishes that people seem to like and that we know how to cook well. We don't spend much money on fancy lights or decorations because we think the focus should be on what’s on the plate. My staff and I have been working together for a few years now, so we have a good system going. It’s just a regular local eating house for regular people who want a hot meal without any fuss. We are glad to be part of this neighborhood.
