Buddhas Delight Restaurant

Our restaurant is tucked inside the Comfort Inn Grand on M G Road in Thiruvananthapuram. We are directly opposite the State Secretariat, which is a very busy part of the city. Because of where we are, we get a lot of government employees and office workers coming in during their lunch breaks. The feel of the place is a bit different from a street-side stall because we are within the hotel, but we try to keep things feeling relaxed. We have a decent number of tables and the staff is used to the quick pace of the city center. Most people come here because it is a convenient spot to meet up or have a meal away from the heat of the road. We spend a lot of time preparing the ingredients for our Chinese and local dishes. It is not a massive operation, but we keep everything moving. The view from the windows is mostly the traffic and the old buildings of the Secretariat. We don't use any fancy tricks; we just cook what is on the menu. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded during the middle of the week, and other times, like on holidays, it is much slower. We have been here for a while and have seen the city change around M G Road. It is just a steady place to get some food in the heart of town. We keep the lights low and the kitchen running from morning until late at night.
