AMMA FAMILY RESTAURANT

We are located in the Sivaprasadam Building on Enjakkal Road. It is quite close to the NSS School in the Thiruvananthapuram Fort area. Being near the fort means we get a lot of locals and some visitors too. The restaurant is a family-run place and we have been here for a good while. We don't have any fancy signs or big marketing plans. Most people find us because they live nearby or work at the schools nearby. The building is a bit older, but it works for what we need. Inside, there are just enough tables for the daily rush. We spend a lot of time prepping vegetables and getting the rice ready for lunch. The atmosphere is pretty quiet except during the lunch hour when the school kids and office goers arrive all at once. We don't use any pre-made stuff, mostly just cooking what we have for the day with fresh ingredients. If we run out of something, that is it until tomorrow morning. It is an honest way to run a business. We keep the floor swept and the water jugs filled up on every table. Thiruvananthapuram can be very humid, so we try to keep the space well-ventilated with the fans we have. It is just a normal restaurant where you can sit down and have a meal without any fuss or trouble. We are just regular people making food for the local neighborhood.
