Supreme Bakers

Supreme Bakers is located in the Musaliar Building on the Pattom Kowdiar Road. We’re really close to the Kuruvankonam Junction, so it’s a spot most people in this part of Thiruvananthapuram know well. The smell of baking bread and sweets usually hits you before you even walk through the door. We aren't one of those modern bakeries that looks like a jewelry store. We have glass cases filled with buns, cakes, and puffs, and that’s about it. My family has been involved in food for a long time. We do things the way we were taught. Some of our ovens are older than the staff, but they still work perfectly. We start very early in the morning so the first batch of bread is ready when people are heading to work. The tea cakes are popular, and we usually run out of those by late afternoon. It gets quite crowded around the junction, so parking can be a bit of a headache, but people still make the effort to stop by. We don’t spend money on big ads. If the bread is good, people come back. That’s how it’s always been for us. The floor is a bit worn from all the feet walking in and out, but we think it gives the place some soul. We’re just local bakers doing our job every day. It’s not fancy, but it’s honest work and we like being part of the neighborhood. We just keep the flour moving.
