Steampot

Steampot is located in the Skyways Building at Pottakuzhi Junction in Pattom. We are right near Vaidhyuthi Bhavan, so a lot of people know where we are. It’s a busy spot in Thiruvananthapuram. We opened this place because we wanted a simple restaurant where people could get a meal without any pretense. The kitchen is always busy, especially around lunchtime when the local office workers come in. It’s not a big fancy dining hall. We have some tables and chairs, and the menu is pretty basic. We focus on the food more than the decor. It gets a bit hot in the kitchen, but that is how it goes. We don't have a big corporate office or a marketing team. It’s just us and a few cooks making sure the pots are full and the customers are fed. Sometimes we run out of certain items if it has been a busy day, but we try to keep up. The building itself is easy to find, and we have become a bit of a regular stop for folks in the Pattom area. We spend most of our time prepping vegetables and cleaning up after the rush. It is hard work, but we like being part of the junction. You won't find any fancy plating here, just honest food served in a simple way. We have been here for a while and we plan on staying as long as people keep coming by.
