Noor Mahal Restaurant

Noor Mahal Restaurant sits on University Road in Palayam, which is right in the middle of Thiruvananthapuram. We are directly opposite University College, so our days usually follow the rhythm of the school year. When the college is in session, we are packed with students and faculty members from morning until evening. It’s a lively place to be. We’ve been serving food here for quite some time now, and we’ve seen the area change a lot over the years. Despite all the new places opening up, we just keep doing what we've always done. Our menu has the usual stuff that people in Kerala like to eat for lunch and dinner. We try to keep the prices fair because we know most of our customers are on a budget. The staff here has been with us for a long time, so they know how to handle the big rushes when the morning classes let out. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the demand, especially during the hot afternoons. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. Word of mouth has always been how people find us. Sometimes the kitchen gets a bit overwhelmed, but we do our best to get the food out while it's still hot. It’s just a plain, honest restaurant where you can sit down and have a meal without any pretension. We’re just glad to be a part of the Palayam neighborhood.
