Muffins

We started this little spot called Muffins here in Kazhakootum quite some time ago. Our address is Tc 1/C 5416, right in the middle of things in Thiruvananthapuram. Every morning starts pretty much the same way. We get here early, unlock the doors, and start getting the ovens ready. You can hear the traffic starting to pick up outside on the main road while we’re inside getting things set up. It’s not a very big place, just enough room for what we need to do. Most of the people who come in are from around the neighborhood or folks working nearby who need a quick bite. We don't have fancy decorations or anything like that. The walls are plain and we mostly just focus on the baking work. Sometimes the flour gets everywhere and we have to spend half the morning just wiping down the counters again. It’s a lot of manual work, honestly. We’ve seen the area change a lot over the years, with new buildings going up and more cars on the streets. But inside here, it feels mostly the same as it did on day one. We know the regulars by their usual orders and they know where to find us. It’s just a simple shop in 695581. We keep the lights on until the evening, then pack everything up and do it all again the next day. It’s a quiet life but it keeps us busy enough for now.
