Magrib Restauran

Magrib Restauran sits on Meetukada Road in the Thycaud area of Thiruvananthapuram. We’re quite close to the Government Guest House, which brings a fair bit of foot traffic past our door. It’s an older part of town with a lot of history. Our restaurant isn’t very big, but we’ve managed to fit enough tables for the locals who come by. We spend most of our time in the kitchen or behind the counter. It’s a straightforward place to eat. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. People usually find us just by walking past or hearing about us from a neighbor. The street can get pretty narrow and busy, especially during peak hours. We’ve had some long days here, but that’s what it takes to keep a small business going. The menu has stayed mostly the same because that’s what people seem to like. We don't use any fancy techniques, just the way we learned to cook back home. Sometimes we have to fix a leaky tap or deal with a power cut, but we just get on with it. It’s a practical kind of place. We don’t put on airs. If you’re around Thycaud and need a meal, you’ll find us there doing our thing. It’s just a normal restaurant run by people who live in the city and work hard every day. We hope to stay here on Meetukada Road for many more years to come.
