Green Thaninadan The Family Restuarant

Our family restaurant is tucked away in Sasthamangalam on Pippnmoodu Road. The address is Tc 9/1447, and we are quite close to the SFS flats. Most people in this part of Thiruvananthapuram know where that is. We call it a family restaurant because that’s who runs it and that’s who eats here. It’s a quiet enough neighborhood most of the time. We didn't want to be in the middle of a loud shopping mall. We like being on a regular street where people walk their dogs and go about their business. The kitchen isn't massive, but we make it work. We cook things the way we were taught at home. Sometimes a dish might be a little different from one day to the next because we don’t use a factory manual. We use what we find at the market that looks good. My uncle helps with the accounts and I stay in the front. It gets a bit hot in the summer months, but the fans keep things moving. We aren't trying to win awards or get famous on the internet. We just want to make sure people leave with a full stomach and don’t feel like they spent too much money. It’s a simple life here in Sasthamangalam. We see the same faces every week. That makes us feel like we’re doing something right. No big corporate plans, just the daily work of feeding neighbors.
