Radheshyam Flour Mill

Radheshyam Flour Mill is at number 44 on Punagam Rd. We are situated in the Ash Nagar Society in Punagam, which is part of the Varachha area. The road outside can get pretty hectic with scooters and rickshaws, but inside the mill, it is just the sound of the grain hitting the metal. We have been working out of this space for a while now. It isn't a very large room, so we have to be organized with where we put the full sacks versus the empty ones. The floor is made of stone and it stays relatively cool even when the machines have been running for hours. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls, just a calendar and maybe a small shelf for our tea cups. Grinding flour is what we do all day long. Some days are busier than others, especially before the holidays when everyone is baking. We get a lot of dust on our clothes and in our hair, but that is just how it is. People in Punagam know they can just drop off their grain and come back in an hour or two. We don't use any complicated systems. We just write the name on the bag and get to work. It is a straightforward way to make a living here in Varachha. Most of the people around here are regulars.
