Mahalaxmi Fancy Dhosa

You can find us at Shop No 133 and 134 in the Royal Platinum building on New Palanpur Road. We are in the Adajan Dn area of Surat, which is a place where people really love their food. We specialize in different kinds of dosas, hence the name. The "fancy" part just means we put different toppings and fillings that aren't just the usual potato masala. We have been here for a bit now, and the evenings are usually the busiest time. Families from around the neighborhood come out, and the place gets quite loud with kids and people talking. We are close to the Kataria Showroom, which makes it easy to give directions. The kitchen is small but we have it organized so we can get the dosas out fast while they are still crispy. We spend a lot of time making the batter and the different chutneys every day. If the batter isn't right, the dosa won't be good, so we are careful about that. The tables are basic and we use a lot of paper napkins. Sometimes the wait time gets a bit long on weekends, but people usually don't mind standing around the Royal Platinum area for a bit. It is just a local shop trying to make food that people enjoy eating after a long day of work or on their day off with family.
