Sri Venkateswara Metric Hr Secondary School sits right on the Salem-Ulundurpettai Highway. We are in the Nathakkarai area, specifically near the Thalaivasal Post. Being on a major highway means there is always a lot of movement. Trucks and buses go zooming past our front gate all day. It’s a very visible spot. The school itself is a large building that has seen a lot of students pass through over the years. We handle the higher secondary grades, so the kids are a bit older and more independent. The grounds at Nathakkarai are decent sized. We have to keep the gates closed because of the highway traffic. It’s not the quietest place to have a school, but it’s convenient for families living along the Salem-Ulundurpettai route. We don't have a big office staff. Most of us wear multiple hats, handling the teaching and the administration at the same time. Thalaivasal Post is where our mail goes, and we are a known name in that part of the district. The classrooms are filled with wooden benches and old-style boards. We don't have much in the way of high-tech gadgets, but we have enough to get the job done. It's a practical, hardworking environment for the students and the staff alike. We just focus on the daily tasks and keeping the place running smoothly despite the noise from the highway.
